To become a member you must be New Brunswick resident and must have written, or co-written, at least one song.
If your annual membership application is approved, You will receive an invoice for $20.00.
Code of Conduct for the Songwriters Association of New Brunswick
Introduction
This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behavior and professionalism within the Songwriters Association of New Brunswick. All members must adhere to these principles in all association interactions, in person or online, to foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
This Code of Conduct applies to all Association activities and interactions, whether in person or online, including (but not limited to) meetings, events, workshops, rehearsals, performances, email, messaging apps, social media, online forums, and video calls.
1. Respect and Integrity
Respect for All: Members must always treat each other with respect, dignity, and professionalism. Disrespectful, harmful, or discriminatory behavior, including harassment, bullying, and personal attacks, is strictly prohibited.
Professional Integrity: Members are expected to act with integrity and honesty, ensuring their actions contribute positively to the community and its reputation.
Meetings (in-person or virtual): Members are required to adhere to the rules during meetings. Disruptive behaviors will not be permitted and may be grounds for expulsion from the Association without reimbursement of membership fees.
2. Positive Communication
Constructive Feedback: Feedback should be constructive and focused on ideas and improvements, not personal criticism.
3. Confidentiality
Members must respect the confidentiality of information shared within the Association and not disclose such information without proper authorization.
4. Reporting and Accountability
Reporting Misconduct: Members should report any breaches of this code to a board member.
Accountability: Violations of this code may result in disciplinary actions, including expulsion from the Association without reimbursement of membership fees, per the severity of the misconduct.
5. Conclusion
Adherence to this Code of Conduct is essential for maintaining the high standards of conduct and collaboration within the Songwriters Association of New Brunswick. By committing to these principles, members enhance the environment for creative and professional growth in songwriting within New Brunswick.
